Box Is Available at Courthouse For Absentee Ballot Drop-Off

A drop box for absentee ballots for the November 3 general election is now in place on the alley side of the Jasper County Courthouse.

The box, under 24-hour video surveillance, offers voters an opportunity to drop off their absentee ballots at any time.

The deadline to register to vote in the November 3 general election is Monday, Oct. 5. Early voting will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

Anyone who is unsure about their voting status may contact the chief registrar.
