Harry Russell Gross, Jr.

Harry Russell Gross, Jr. of Monticello died Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Riverside Healthcare in Covington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Inez Morris Gross and Harry R. Gross, Sr. and his beloved aunt, Bessie Morris Miltiades.

He is survived by Tom Shekita, his daughters Beth Prosser (Michael), Ann Bayides (Rocky Meeks) and grandchildren Emily Prosser and Evan Prosser.

Russell was born in Savannah on February 2, 1941. He graduated from Savannah High School and attended Georgia Southern College where he was a founding member of Delta Pi Alpha (DPA) service fraternity. He was a member of Monticello Presbyterian Church. Russell had the honor of serving a term as Mayor Pro-Tempore for the city of Monticello.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
