Deputies Make Traffic Stops; Persons Are Arrested Here

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) stopped 114 persons during traffic stops last week, and investigated numerous types of calls, none of which were especially eventful.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Shannon Marie Moore, 41, Monticello—hold for warrant in Douglas Co.

•Joshua Vernon Christian, 24, Griffin—hold for warrant in Douglas Co.

•Alvin Yates, Sr., 65, Shady Dale—aggravated assault.

•Shane Gerald Helton, 48, Covington—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Jesse Dewayne Collins, 29, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Prentice Charles Smith, IV, 24, College Park—hold for warrant in Clayton Co.
