Rodeo Cancelled
Because of the continued increasing threat of COVID-19, the Shady Dale Rodeo is canceled for 2020.
Normally held the first full weekend in June, it had been postponed until this weekend. However organizers determined this month that cancellation was the right route.
The Shady Dale Rodeo, sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association and produced by the Masonic Lodges in Jasper County, will celebrate its 37th year on June 4-5, 2021.
The rodeo has earned over a million dollars to help the citizens of Jasper County and Central Georgia. The members of Jasper 50 & Walton 200 pray that everyone is safe and virus free in this time of uncertainty.
The supporters who purchased a program or other ad for 2020 will have a credit for 2021. If that is not acceptable, call 404-314-1964 or contact shadydalerodeo.com, and organizers will return all funds.
“The members of Jasper 50 and Walton 200 thank all of the volunteers for their hard work in producing the 2020 rodeo; unfortunately it continues to shine more light on the precious enjoyments we take for granted,” said an announcement from the lodges.
