Deputies Make Arrests
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) have been busy with traffic stops, and have also investigated several incidents.
They recovered a stolen vehicle on Saturday. Deputies also took several reports of theft. There was a theft from a motor vehicle on Dallas Trail, and air conditioning units were taken from an address on Red Oak Court. In addition, someone reported the theft of lost or mislaid property when their license renewal decal went missing. Deputies received three reports of financial transaction card fraud.
Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•James Ross Johnson, 35, Covington—probation violation.
•Jarrett Paul Gunn, 21, Forsyth—entering automobile, theft by receiving stolen property (two counts).
•Hadley Luke Jackson, 38, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, open container violation and driving in violation of limited permit.
•Dorothy Ann Jenkins, 52, Shady Dale—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Kenneth Dernal Standifer, 62, Monticello—aggravated stalking.
•Kenneth Leon Jacobs, 66, Monticello—aggravated assault and battery.
•Jerry Keith Wilson, 53, Covington—possession of methamphetamine.
•Benjamin Lee Perkins, 39, Monticello—probation violation.
