Special Food Bank Distribution Set April 16
In partnership with the Middle Georgia Food Bank in Macon, our local Jasper County Food Bank (JCCFB) is offering a special county-wide food distribution on Thursday, April 16 from 1 -4:30 p.m.
Participants do not have to be active clients of JCCFB. This special distribution is available to ALL Jasper County residents. No pre-registration is necessary.
Additionally, beginning the same week of April 13, Tuesday distributions will be discontinued until further notice.
For clarity, during the remainder of April, the Jasper County Food Bank’s schedule of distributions is:
April 16—special county-wide distribution 1-4:30 p.m.
April 23—regular weekly distribution for JCCFB clients 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
April 30—regular weekly distribution for JCCFB clients 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are temporarily discontinuing Tuesday distributions in hopes of reducing the exposure of our volunteer staff. The JCCFB is committed to serving the people of our community while protecting the health and safety of our clients and volunteers.
And lastly, we again ask for help from our Jasper County neighbors. We have been blessed recently with substantial donations and reduced cost purchases from a number of partnering organizations, but we continue to need canned staples such as English peas, green beans and corn as well as peanut butter and jelly and boxed cereal.
Donations of food can be dropped off at Ameris Bank and the Bank of Monticello. Monetary donations may be sent to P.O. Box 254, Monticello, Ga. 31064.
Please, we exist to help the people of this county. If you, or someone you know, needs food assistance, call us at 706-468-6076 or leave a message on our Facebook page.
