Erin Lynch Seeks Re-Election to School Board
Erin Lynch has announced her intent to seek re-election to the District 2 Jasper County Board of Education seat on which she has served since 2013.
“Serving our school system has been an honor and a good challenge over the past seven years. Our board is cohesive and diligently works toward the single goal of educating each child in our system to the best of our ability. I am very encouraged by the progress our school system has seen in the past seven years and anticipate greater things for our students and system in the years to come.
“I so appreciate the dedication of each educator in our system and I would like the opportunity to continue to be part of this forward progress.”
Mrs. Lynch, who is the parent of three children currently attending or having graduated from the Jasper County Charter System, grew up in Monticello and is married to Jim Lynch, who is a JCHS alum. She holds a BSN from Samford University and a MSN from Georgia College and State University. She is currently employed by Piedmont Newton Hospital. Mrs. Lynch and her family are active members of the Monticello Baptist Church.
Before being elected to the school board, Mrs. Lynch volunteered in the Jasper County School System in various capacities. She was a member of each school’s PTO, serving in different officer positions. Mrs. Lynch also served on Parent School Councils and on the superintendent’s advisory committee.
“I am proud of our school system—the students, the teachers, the administrators, our board. I am especially proud and thankful for our community and its support it wholeheartedly gives to our students. I thank District 2 for allowing me to serve and ask for your support to allow me to serve again in this capacity.”
