Persons Are Arrested

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated two incidents of entering an auto in the last week.

In one that took place at Springfield Baptist Church, many personal items—checkbook, debit card, social security card, and more—were taken. In the other, on North Warren Street, a handgun was stolen.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Christian Scott Gilreath, 28, Monticello—probation violation.

•Michael Thomas Hubbard, 49, Newborn—probation violation.

•Jesse Shonita Gaines, 47, Cordele—hold for warrant in Houston County.

•Jonathan Daniel Griffin, 29, Milledgeville—possession of

methamphetamine, possession of firearm by a convicted felon, speeding, driving without a valid license, willful obstruction of law enforcement officer, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer and drug related objects.

•David DeLano Knighten, 63, Monticello—possession of Schedule II controlled substance, simple battery, probation violation and criminal trespass.
