New Members Are Named to the Jasper Health Services Board

Jasper Health Services, Inc. (JHS) has successfully separated the corporate structures between Oconee Regional Health Systems, Inc.

following their system bankruptcy filing May 2017 and settled any outstanding matters between the parties, according to an announcement from JHS.

JHS was not a party to the system bankruptcy filing, said Jan Gaston, Jasper Memorial Hospital administrator. Jasper has flourished over the last several years operating independently and looks forward to continuing to grow and serve our community in collaboration with the Medical Staff and community leaders, said Mrs. Gaston.

The Jasper Health Services, Inc. Board of Directors is now an independent and local community member operating board that remains a not for profit 501C(3) entity. At the meeting recently held the following members were appointed to the board:

Alison Hildebrant, chairperson; David Leach, vice-chairperson; Dr. Angela Gordon, member, Dr. Lyndsy Johnston, member, and Walker Jordan, member.

Rubye Griggs was acknowledged at the meeting for her valuable service as a member from 2010-2019. Ms. Griggs always showed compassion, interest, and concern for patients, residents, and employees.
