Winner Is Only Player with 14 Right
Bulldog Gym, the sponsor of this Saturday’s 5K Deer Dash was also the sponsor for The Monticello News football contest last week, and Marshall Bunce, who works at the Bank of Monticello, was the only player to get as many as 14 right to win the $25 prize, given by Russell Watts, owner of Bulldog Gym.
There is a great rivalry amongst the bank employees with the football contest, and Mr. Bunce is new this year. He is giving them all a run for their money, with six chances already on the Grand Prize honor roll.
Mr. Bunce beat Jan Gaston, Brian Holland, James Greenway, Jarrett Greenway, and Jackson Greenway, all of whom go 13 right, and another 13 players who got 12 right. Then, there were those players who don’t get their names added to the honor roll, cause they only guessed the winner of 11 or less games listed. As always, the contest contains a mix of high school, college and pro games, and anyone can win, whether novice player or old hand.
This week there will be another chance for players to get a chance to win a $25 prize and get their names added to the Grand Prize Honor Roll. One lucky, or talented, player will collect a $25 prize from Dairy Queen, sponsor of the week.
Just turn to the contest on page 10 of today’s paper, and complete the entry form, or write your answers on another piece of paper, and submit to The Monticello News office no later than 5 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 1. Entires may be faxed to 706-468-6576, e-mailed to info@themonticellonews.com, or brought in person to 247 West Washington Street in Monticello (about a half-block off the Square).
Good luck!
