3-D Mammography Now Offered Here

Jasper Memorial Hospital (JMH) announces the introduction of 3D mammography and bone density services.

JMH is now scheduling new 3D mammography exams and bone density exams. A 3D mammogram is the newest technology on the market and provides a series of detailed images of the breast, allowing doctors to better evaluate breast tissue. A clearer picture allows doctors to more easily detect and diagnose breast cancer.

“We are excited to now offer this service for our community and patients locally in Jasper County,” said Administrator Jan Gaston. “Any patient can schedule their mammogram or bone density exam with a doctor’s order by calling radiology at 706-468-4509. Breast awareness month is October and we can both promote Breast Cancer awareness and provide the exams.

A ribbon cutting and open house for both mammography and recently renovated rehabilitation and therapy services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 5 p.m.
