Absentee Ballots Are Available

Absentee ballots for the city of Monticello Mayor Pro-tem election set for Tuesday, Nov. 5 are now available in the Registrar’s office in the Courthouse.

Early voting begins Tuesday, Oct. 15, and continues until Friday, Nov. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each weekday.

Two council posts will also be on the ballot, but they are uncontested. Cynthia Miller will remain council person for District 1, Post 2, and Jenny Murphy will remain council person for District 2, Post 2. They may receive a vote of confidence, but have no challengers.
