Steel Magnolias Is Performed

CAST AND CREW OF STEEL MAGNOLIAS AT TPH

Steel Magnolias, the 1987 play written by Robert Harling, was brought to life on the stage at Thomas Persons Hall (TPH) over the weekend.

The cast in the performances were a non-profit theater company called The Front Porch Players from Clayton County. The group was formed by a former teacher (23 years) in the Jasper County school system, Karen (Strickland) Ferrell-White and Kathryn Wood. Karen is the director of the acting group and Kathryn is a cast member who portrayed “M’Lynn” in the this weekend’s production.

Steel Magnolias was enjoyed by the audience at TPH. A reception was given Saturday night and refreshments were served on Sunday to highlight the event by the Jasper Co. Historical Foundation board members.
