Several Burglaries Are Reported
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office have been busy the last two weeks, investigating several burglaries across the county.
A dirt bike and moped were reported stolen from n address on Hwy. 83 south, and a bicycle was taken in a robbery on Macon Street. On Grandview Drive, which runs off Jackson Lake Road and has a Mansfield address, a gas can and money was taken from one address, and this week, a gun was taken from another.
A green Toyota Tundra was reported missing from an address on Raby Road, and mini-pigs and their crates were taken from an address on Gaissert Road. A generator was reported missing from an address on Post Road, and in the city of Monticello, someone apparently took a Kubota zero-turn mower along with a trimmer-edger and blower.
Three separate individuals reported cases of identity fraud during the last two weeks.
Persons arrested in the last two weeks, and their charges, include:
•Michael Rooks, 53, Monticello—possession of cocaine.
•Jacob Curtis Fort McDaniel: 33, Oxford—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain lane, passing in a no passing zone and improper passing.
•Steve L. House, 65, Monticello—possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (four counts), possession of marijuana less than an ounce (two counts) and drug related objects.
•Laura Alice House, 61, Monticello—possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance (four counts), possession of marijuana less than an ounce (two counts) and drug related objects.
•Simon Rooks, 76, Eatonton—driving while license suspended or revoked and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Taylor James Williams Clement, 20, homeless—failure to maintain lane and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Danny Lee Criswell, 19, Mansfield—possession of methamphetamine.
•Skylar Marie Alcarez, 19, Mansfield—possession of methamphetamine and failure to maintain lane.
•Tammy Lynn Bonds, 34, Conyers—probation violation.
•Benjamin Robert Wenger, 24, Monticello—criminal trespass.
•Patrick Charles White, 39, Monticello—probation violation.
•Rodney Shane Ramey, 38, Oxford—possession of methamphetamine, driving on roadways laned for traffic, brake light or turn signal violation and fleeing or attempting to elude a police office.
•Jeremy Shermaine Brown, 27, Macon—purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana.
•Laura Lashay Bullard, 33, Eatonton—possession of marijuana less than an ounce, failure to maintain lane and driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Zachary Bookert, 27, Milledgeville—driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Annette Lavonne Aikens, 54, Covington—possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
•David Lamar Mitchell, 55, Decatur—probation violation (two counts).
