Few Burglaries Reported; Arrests Made
A few thefts were reported in the last week in varying parts of the county. A resident in Hillsboro said that numerous items had been taken from his home on Hwy. 11 south between April 1 and August 16.
In addition, a resident on Mason Street reported a television being stolen, and a resident on Turtle Cove Trailway complained that someone had entered his vehicle and stolen a prescription.
There were several reports of fraud, including an identity fraud, and an unauthorized use of a financial transaction card, among others.
Persons arested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Wesley Theron Clark, Jr., 30, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked.
•John James Daniel, 19, Mansfield—furnish/purchase/possession of alcohol by person under age 21 and false name, address or date of birth to law enforcement.
•Otis Victor Faircloth, 49, Eatonton — Jasper County Superior Court failure to appear bench warrant.
•Jonathan Lynn Maroney, 39, homeless—probation violation.
•David Wayne Niblett, 46, Monticello—aggravated assault.
•Roderick Deon Dumas, 32, Monticello—probation violation and battery.
•Sheronda Rene Manuel, 33, Eatonton—probation violation.
•Donney Scandrett, 25, Griffin—probation violation.
•Justin Cooper Singletary, 33, Monticello—probation violation.
•Shirley Clemons Johnson, 61, Monticello—false report of a crime.
•Candace Diane Bloodworth, 37, Monticello—sale of methamphetamine.
•Darnell Sanchez Norwood, 23, Shady Dale—obstruction of a law enforcement officer and public indecency.
•Fredrico Deonte Epps, 24, Monticello—criminal trespass and simple battery.
•Kenson Akile Hunte, 36, Canton—hold for warrant in Clayton Co.
•Henry Edward Aikens, Jr., 56, Monticello—hold for warrant in Rockdale Co.
•Casey Lynn Muzik, 27, Concord—probation violation.
