Jasper County Deputies Investigate I.D. Fraud, Make Numerous Arrests

Jasper County deputies continue to investigate cases of identity fraud and financial transaction card fraud every week, it seems, with three more cases coming to light this week.

In addition, several thefts were investigated in the last week, including that of several firearms that went missing sometime since February 22,

Other items reported stolen in the last week included a billfold, which someone subsequently picked up, and it was all caught on store video. The perpetrator was arrested. There was also a report of a weed eater stolen from an address in Shady Dale, and a theft by conversion where someone was paid to do a job that he/she did not complete.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•John Garland Thomason, 59, Hillsboro—bond revocation order.

•Kevin Berry, 55, Monticello—simple battery and giving false name, address or birthdate to law enforcement officer.

•Richard Lee Williams, 53, Newborn—probation violation, driving while license suspended or revoked and failure to maintain lane.

•Joshua Tristin Campilango, 20, Covington—leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to report an accident, failure to stop at stop sign and failure to maintain lane.

•Charles David Blalock, 36, Social Circle—battery and terroristic threats.

•Brandon Duke Stephens, 26, homeless—hold for warrant in Monroe Co.

•Walker Dewayne Williams, 37, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked and removing or affixing license plate with intent to conceal.

•David Dennis Banks, Jr., 39, Monticello—theft by deception.

•Jamie Michelle Parker, 40, Monticello—court order jail time (24 hours).

•Charles Sams, 56, Macon—hold for warrant in Cobb Co.

•Sandra Lynn Baltes, 57, Mansfield—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs/less safe and failure to maintain lane.

•Kameron Karilque Banks, 20, Buford — terroristic threats (two counts).

•Justin Alexander Bowls, 37, Monticello—fleeing and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, tampering with evidence, purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution or sale of marijuana, driving while license suspended or revoked, possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, crossing guard lines with weapons/drugs/intoxicants, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and probation violation.

•Jacob Benjamin Dibble, 18, Covington—aggravated sodomy and rape.

•Tyson Vontavius Dubose, 24, Monticello—false statements or writings, conceal facts or fraudulent documents and theft of lost/mislaid property.
