Criminal Calendar Reviewed in Court
Joseph L. Parr was sentenced to serve five years of a 20 year sentence in confinement for a negotiated plea on 10 counts last week in Jasper Superior Court. Judge Alison Burleson presided over the criminal and motion day calendars last week.
Mr. Parr received the heftiest sentence last Tuesday for burglary in the first degree, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, theft by receiving stolen property, forgery in the fourth degree, and possession of firearm by convicted felon. He was credited with time served since January 2018 and fined $4,000.
Randall Hegwood was sentenced to one year of confinement of a five year sentence for possession of methamphetamine and possession of firearm by convicted felon. He was credited with time served since January 2019 and fined $1,500. Additionally, he had his probation revoked to the state penal system for violations that occurred in January. The revocation will expire January 2020.
Michael Bellamy was sentenced to 245 days in Jasper County jail for disorderly house. He was credited with time served since July 2018.
Micheal Greenway, sentenced to 10 years of probation for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. Fined $2,000
Duane English, sentenced to five years of probation for manufacture of marijuana and possession of marijuana. Fined $1,500.
Billy Bell, sentenced to 12 months of probation for terroristic threats and acts. Fined $500.
