Several Are Sentenced in Superior Court

Judge Terry Massey dispensed of the Jasper Superior Court motion day and criminal day calendar dockets briskly last Tuesday.

Jennifer Walters, sentenced to eight years with one to serve in confinement for two counts of possession of methamphetamine and one count of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute. She was credited for time served since July 2017 and fined $2,000.

Matthew Duchaine, probation revoked to 180 days in Jasper County jail which was suspended upon entry into a long term inpatient program for at least six months. He was dismissed from a recovery center and committed the new offense of driving under the influence (DUI) in January.

Amber Strickland, probation revoked to 90 days in Jasper County jail for next offense of DUI and suspended license in February when she also had a positive drug test.

Robby Griffin, probation revoked to 90 days in Jasper County jail suspended upon entry into a state probation detention center for 120 to 180 days. He committed a new offense in Newton County, failed to report to the probation office, changed residence without permission of court, failed to complete community service and pay court fines.

Ernest Scott, probation revoked to 180 days to Jasper County jail suspended upon entry into a state probation detention center for 60 to 90 days. He failed to report to the probation officer and committed the new offense of domestic violence.

Patrick Harvard, probation revoked to 30 days in Jasper County jail for new offenses in March.

Christopher Fowler, III, probation revoked to eight days in Jasper County jail for new offense of being removed from substance abuse treatment program.

March criminal sentences include:

Brett Rosser, sentenced to seven years with the first six months in a long-term inpatient treatment center until successful completion of the program. He was charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine, sale of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, crossing the guard line with contraband, and possession of marijuana. Fined $2,000.

Ramon Jackson, sentenced to 34 days in Jasper County jail for public drunkenness.

Mark Mosley, sentenced to 10 years of probation for criminal attempt to commit a felony and obscene internet contact with a child. Fined $1,500.

Quantez Jackson, probation revoked to 35 days in Jasper County jail for new offense of possession of marijuana in Butts County and a positive drug test result.

Sabrina Harp, sentenced to 240 days in the Jasper County Law Enforcement Center for terroristic threats and credited for time served since July 2018.

Timothy Holbert, Jr., sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,000.

Ronnie Butts, sentenced to two years of probation for possession of cocaine and credited with time served since November 2018 and fined $700.
