Man Is Accused of Trafficking

DRUGS AND CASH ARE CONFISCATED

Last Wednesday, April 3, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit, as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation into the sale and use of methamphetamine in the local area, made an arrest of a suspected dealer.

James Gabriel Holcomb, 35, of Mansfield was arrested in the area of Alcovy North Fire Station and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and fleeing and attempting to elude, with additional charges pending.

Other persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Jason Spencer Allen, 37, Shady Dale—possession of methamphetamine (2 counts) and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Daphine Ann Couch, 39, Shady Dale—possession of marijuana less than an ounce (2 counts).

•Skyler Andrea Underwood, 21, Jackson—probation violation.

•John Garland Thomason, 59, Hillsboro—criminal damage to property second degree and criminal trespass (2 counts).

•Cory Marcel Benton, 28, Covington—probation violation.

•Tommy Lee Marshall, 35, Monticello—hold for warrant in Newton Co.

•Jennifer Kenea Thomason, 35, Covington—probation violation.

•Samantha Rene Springer, 36, Conyers—terroristic threats and acts (4 counts), pedestrian under influence of alcohol or drugs, open container, drug related objects, obstruction of law enforcement officer and reckless conduct.

•Frank Lackey, 61, Monticello—battery.

•Vance Obrian Coleman, 44, Jesup—probation violation.

•Ronald Ray Randolph, 39, Jackson, Ky.—driving without a valid license.

Other criminal action reported in the last week included the theft of siding from the senior center building under renovation across from the sheriff’s office, thefts on Kiwi Court of shoes, belt and clothes, on Concord Road of watch and coins, on Hwy. 11 south of jewelry, computer monitor and tires, and on Woodmont Drive of a 12 volt car battery.
