Seuss on the Loose Set March 2

The Cat in the Hat visited the Monticello Post Office to promote Literacy Week, February 25-March 1 and Seuss On The Loose, Saturday, March 2.

He met up with Angel Stewart at the Monticello Post Office in the photo, and will be visiting area schools and businesses in the coming week to remind everyone of the literacy festival, Seuss On The Loose, to benefit Ferst Readers.

Ferst Foundation sends a book a month to enrolled children from birth to five years old. Seuss on the Loose is a fun time for the children, and raises funds to provide books to young children. Seuss on the Loose has something for everyone, with the silent auction and gift bags garnering much interest, while the children enjoy the games.

Seuss on the Loose will be held Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to noon at Jasper County High School, 14477 Hwy. 11 North.
