Deputies Seize Drugs Tuesday

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office’s Crime Suppression Unit was patrolling the Jackson Lake Road area the afternoon of January 29, when deputies located and subsequently investigated a suspicious vehicle.
As the result of that investigation, the occupants of the vehicle were found to be in possession of powder cocaine, marijuana, digital scales and a very realistic air pistol. In addition to the individuals arrested, the deputies also saw a young child in the car. The occupants and their charges are as follows:
Dakota Mullins, 20, of Jackson—possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Braden Mullins, 17, of Jackson—possession of marijuana.
Carly Cloud, 17, of McDonough—warrants will be sought for possession of cocaine with intent and possession of marijuana with intent.
In other news, a Georgia Department of Agriculture Horse Farm in Mansfield was burglarized last week, with someone taking a tractor, bush hog, saddle, trailer, air compressors, a cordless drill and horse feed from the location.
Other thefts reported in the last week included an incident on Tucker Circle where a bottle of prescription drugs sent missing from a vehicle. There was also a generator and log splitter taken from another Mansfield address, this one on Rocky Creek. Two reports of guns stolen came in this week, although the guns could have been taken some time ago as neither owner remembered seeing his recently.
In addition, there were three accounts of financial transaction card fraud reported—two at an address on Waxwing, and another on Calvin Road.
Persons booked into the Jasper County Detention Center in the last week, and their charges, include:
