Persons Are Arrested
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office are investigating thefts this week. Last Friday, Paul Spieks reported the theft of two landscape trailers and a 4×4 camo RTV from property at 1001 Edwards Road.
They are also looking into a theft by deception dating back to last November. Along with theft by deception, terroristic threats, deceptive business practices, and larceny are alleged in a case concerning a diesel engine.
Deputies are also looking into a burglary on County Line Road where two pickle jars containing money are missing, along with a pistol.
Persons arrested in the last week include:
•Kenneth Marshall Gibbs, 37, Covington—possession of methamphetamine, theft by taking and driving while license suspended or revoked.
•Randall Craig Hegwood, 38, Newborn—tampering with evidence, possession of firearm by a convicted felon, possession of methamphetamine (two counts) and probation violation.
•Jovante Rashawn Alexander, 26, Monticello—driving while unlicensed.
•Noe Ortiz, 21, Monticello—headlight violation and driving while license expired.
•Kisha Nochole Phillips, 37, Covington—probation violation.
•Nora Oneil Sealy, 18, Monticello—probation violation.
•Jonathan Craig Wilson, 20, Newborn—terroristic threats and acts.
•David Austin Otwell, 18, Tucker—possession of marijuana less than an ounce, obstruction of a law enforcement officer, fleeing or attempting to elude, and hunting deer at night.
