Middle School Canes Remain Undefeated

The Jasper County Middle School basketball boys squad remains undefeated this season with wins over Putnam and Loganville last week.

Last Wednesday, the MS Canes rode into Eatonton and defeated the War Eagles 41-31. Landon Bonner led the scoring with 11 points; Marcus Whitlock added eight points; Ashton Pennamon, 7; Cedrion Stone, six: Johnathan Barnes, five; and Jacarian Grier, four.

Last Thursday, the squad defeated Loganville 71-49. Bonner again led with 22 points; Whitlock had 18; Pennamon, 17; Grier and Kaidon Whidby, four each; Kemarion Thomas, Randy Williams, and Eli Terrell, two each.

The middle school boys squad is coached by Keldrick Davis.

The middle school teams were scheduled to host the Morgan County Bulldogs on Wednesday with Social Circle scheduled to come to town Friday, Jan. 25. The girls begin action at 4:30 p.m. and the boys follow immediately.
