Persons Are Arrested
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) had a relatively quiet Christmas week, with a few arrests reported, but no serious crimes reported.
Those arrested, and their charges, include:
•Amber Leigh McEver, 27, Eatonton—possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
•Korey Nicholas Mauldin, 25, Jackson—Jasper County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear.
•Billy Lewis Stoe, Jr., 54, Atlanta—driving while license suspended or revoked, registration violation, tail light violation and turning violation.
•Nichole Lee Lewis, 31, Milledgeville—probation violation.
•Lisa Summer Cox, 22, Monticello—battery.
•Sabrina Elaine Carey, 26, Monticello—battery.
•Joseph Michael Hinton, 62, Monticello—conversion for payments for real property improvements.
•Sarah Jane Powell: 17, Monticello—cruelty to children in the third degree and simple battery.
Deputies also responded to numerous calls for service, including 83 traffic stops, and 26 suspicious person and/or vehicle, 20 premises check, 19 subject needs officer, 16 serve civil papers, 15 each pick-up prisoner or subject and direct traffic, 14 alarms 10 assist motorist, nine mechanical breakdown, eight accidents, seven welfare check, six trouble unknown, five VIN verification, four vandalism/damage to property, three each private property accidents, fights, special detail, escort or convoy, repossession of vehicle; three each speeding auto, intoxicated driver, be on the look out private party accident, 911 hang up, prowler, and a number of other types of calls.
