HAPPY THANKSGIVING

We at the Monticello News wish all our readers, advertisers and friends a wonderful Thanksgiving, enjoying good food, good times, and hopefully a family get-together.

For those who have no family close by, the Church at Monticello is offering a free Thanksgiving day luncheon to all who care to attend, just be there at 1 p.m., and take part in this wonderful outreach.

As you enjoy your day off, think about those who serve us and must be at work—law enforcement, Emergency Medical Service, firefighters, hospital workers, and more. We are thankful for them. We are also thankful for you—whoever is reading this.

The Monticello News office is joining local government offices in being closed for the holiday both Thursday and Friday. We will check in periodically on Friday to pick up football contest entries. In the meantime if you need to reach us, call Kathy Mudd, editor, at 706-318-7396.
