Several Are Arrested Here
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to several calls for service including the report of a stolen tarp on Hillsboro Street.
In Alcovy Shores, someone reported the theft of four $500 Target gift cards and eight $500 Google play gift cards. In addition, a burglary was reported on Aikenton Road, and a shoplifting was reported at Family Dollar.
Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Matthew Eric Ford, 32, Covington—possession of methamphetamine and false statements and writings, concealment of facts.
•Tony Edward Tant, 43, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine.
•David Lamar Mitchell, 54, Decatur—probation violation.
•Andre Jerel Thomas, 36, Monticello—discharging a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs and reckless conduct.
•Johnny Paul Martin, Jr., 27, Flovilla—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Kimberly Lynn Holcombe, 42, Covington—probation violation.
•Robert Dale Drummond, 46, Loganville—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to maintain lane, operation of vehicle without current plate, expired tag, no insurance and too fast for conditions, obstruction of an officer (three counts), failure to wear seat belt, failure to maintain lane, failure to stop for stop sign (three counts), driving while license suspended/revoked, fleeing/attempting to elude a law enforcement officer, interference with government property, aggravated assault upon a law enforcement officer (two counts), possession of drug related objects, tampering with evidence (two counts) and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
