Nancy Marie Eubanks Boggs
Nancy Marie Eubanks Boggs, age 88, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2018, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens.
Marie Boggs was born in Gordon, Ga., to the late Oliver Whitfield Norman “Jack” Eubanks, Sr. and Lottie Amerson Eubanks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Ryles and Henry Boggs; two grandchildren; and brothers, Ollie Eubanks and Robert Eubanks.
Marie Boggs was a member of Callie Fuller Baptist Tabernacle. She loved flowers, cooking, fishing; and she especially loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Marie loved all the children of the county and never turned anyone away. She was lovingly known as “Granny” by all.
She is survived by her children, Raymond Ryles of Shady Dale, Daisy Combs of Pennsylvania, Terry Ryles, Sr. of Hillsboro, Martha Shaffer of Hillsboro, and Terry Ryles, II of Monticello; 18 grandchildren;16 great- grandchildren; and brothers, Edward Eubanks of Toomsboro, Curtis Eubanks of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Joseph Eubanks of Redwood City, Calif.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at Callie Fuller Baptist Church. Interment will be held in Callie Fuller Baptist Church cemetery. Revs. Charles Roper and Phillip Johnson will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be Terry Ryles, Sr., Terry Ryles, II, Charles Leggett, Dusty Boone, Artagus Manning, and John Hutcheson. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Joshua Boone and Adam Helms.
