Winner Gets 14 Right To Collect Weekly Prize

Nelson Cullum has been playing The Monticello News football contest for a long time, and his experience paid off this week when he won the contest with 14 right. He was the only one with 14. Quite a few players had 13 right, but Mr. Cullum took the prize with 14. The only game he missed was Miami’s loss to Boston College.
For his efforts, Mr. Cullum picked up a $25 prize from Megan Eskew at the Monticello Dairy Queen, sponsor of the week.
It was an easier week in a contest that has been marked by upsets and difficult games. However this week, 39 people either got a second chance or had their names added to the Grand Prize Honor Roll.
At the end of the season, everyone who has their name on the Honor Roll will have a chance at four premium tickets to the Chick-Fil-A/Peach Bowl in Atlanta. Two or three people already have three chances on the grand prize.
This week, another experienced, or perhaps novice, player will pick up a $25 prize from Larry’s 4-Way for correctly guessing the winner in the most games listed. And, anyone getting 12 or more right will have his or her name added to the Grand Prize Honor Roll.
So, turn to page 9 of today’s paper, fill out the form, or write it on another sheet of paper, and submit to The News office no later than 5 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 2. Entries must be in by 5 p.m. Friday.
So, sharpen your pencils, take a look at the games listed, and guess who will win. You could be the next winner. Remember to include a phone number where you can be reached during the day on Monday.
Good Luck.
