Hoyt E. ‘Butch’ Batchelor

Butch Batchelor, 53, of Derry, N.H. passed away on October 21, 2018.

Butch grew up in Jasper County. He graduated from Jasper County High School in 1983 and attended Georgia Tech. Butch was very active in school sports and drama productions. He was of the Baptist faith. Butch was employed by Walmart Corp.

He is survived by companion, Linda DeBoer, daughter, Kimberly Batchelor of Chester, N.H., mother, Sybil Hooper Bentley of Monticello, and brother, Bobby (Amberly) Ferris of Lovington, N.M.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at 2 p.m., at New Bethlehem Baptist Church, 4430 Jackson Lake Road, Monticello, GA 31064. Rev. Jim Elliott will officiate.
