Search Warrants Result in Arrests

Last week, Oct. 3, 2018, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Crime Suppression Unit executed two search warrants at a residence near Newborn. This investigation revealed a history of violence, drug use, thefts and threats of violence against other people.

As a result of the operation an amount of methamphetamine and multiple guns were seized. Two suspects were arrested this day, and the Sheriff’s Office anticipates more arrests in the coming weeks as this case continues to be investigated.

Those arrested, and their charges, were:

•Cody Chapman, 30, of Newborn—possession of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine w/ intent to distribute, battery/ family violence and aggravated assault family violence.

•Richard Lee Autry, 29 of Newborn—possession of meth, possession of methamphetamine w/intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon (four counts), false imprisonment, pointing a gun at anotherand hunting big game out of season.

In another case, stolen lottery ticketes were cashed in and three subjects were subsequently arrested—Melanie Shantee Jackson, 40, Milledgeville—Georgia Lottery For Education Fraud (10 counts) and theft by receiving stolen property; Bobby Lewis Rivers, 52, Milledgeville— Georgia Lottery For Education Fraud (10 counts) and theft by receiving stolen property, and Curtis Jerome Card, 59, Hillsboro—Georgia Lottery for Education Fraud (10 counts) and theft by receiving stolen property.

Other thefts reported included a flat screen television from and address on Robby Street, and a Yamaha YZ250 was taken from an address in Shady Dale. Also, a Ford F-150 was recovered on Hwy. 142 at Pennington Road.

Other persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Jharion Syone Spencer, 19, Conyers—hold for warrant in Rockdale Co.

•Lee Annis Jones, Jr., 60, Shady Dale—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Anthony Michael Vas-quez, 18, Monticello—possess/manufacture/distribute a controlled substance or marijuana.

•Roland Brently Beatty, 39, Monticello—probation violation.

•Suzanne Barnes, 45, Monticello—criminal trespass, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, disorderly conduct and drug related objects.

•Antonio Ashton Juhan, 27, Monticello—probation violation.

•Karen Jean Hartley, 57, Social Circle—theft by taking.

•Angela Joan Reed, 41, Edenton, NC—possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Aubrey James Harrison, 44, Snellville—driving while licensed suspended/revoked, possession of methamphetamine, driving on the wrong side of the road and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Quiunca Q’She Hardeman, 27, Conyers— giving false name, address or birthday to a law enforcement officer and hold for warrant in Newton Co.

•Damian Kendell Cloud, 26, Shady Dale—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Alvonte Corrail Ammons, 23, Monticello—possession of schedule I or II, possession of Schedule I or II with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Candace Diane Bloodworth, 36, McDonough—theft by taking.

•Cierra Sankira Wright, 20, Shady Dale—probation violation.

•Jessica Danielle Long, 30, Blue Ridge—theft by receiving stolen property.

•Donald O’Neil Strange, Jr., 22, Monticello—forgery-2nd degree, possession of Schedule I controlled substance and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Marvin Collier Stinson, 51, Shady Dale— driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Scott Lynn English, 46, Social Circle—open container and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Eric Ernest Sword, 39, Lilburn—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Hakeel Devont Norwood, 25, Monroe—battery.

•Robin Caitlin Pierce Motes, 22, Monticello— probation violation.

•James Barry McDonald, 54, Monticello—probation violation

•Jameel Antonio McMichael, 36, Monticello— driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and open container.
