James “Jimmy” Robert Hightower
James “Jimmy” Robert Hightower, age 71, of Macon, passed away Monday, Oct.r 1, 2018, at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon.
Jimmy Hightower was born in Macon, on December 19, 1946, to the late Louie Francis Hightower and Dorothy Mills Hightower.
Mr. Hightower graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy in 1971. He was a longtime member of the Georgia Pharmaceutical Association and enjoyed attending their conventions for many years.
Jimmy was a pharmacist at Chichester’s on Vineville Avenue for 40 years; and continued working at their Hartley Bridge and Baconsfield locations part-time until his death. Jimmy loved pharmacy and felt that his customers and co-workers were family.
He is survived by his wife, Yulynn Fullerton Hightower of Macon; daughters, Hollie Hightower of Macon, Victoria Hightower of Macon, and India Leigh (Sam) Waddell of Columbus; grandson, Byron Mills Waddell of Columbus; brother, Kenny Hightower of Macon; sisters-in-law, Sudy Stuckey of Hillsboro, and Jean Fullerton of Hillsboro; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at Ingleside Baptist Church in Macon. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at Fullerton Memorial Gardens in Hillsboro. Dr. Mark Hudgins will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, prior to the service at Ingleside Baptist Church 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, Ga. 31210.
