Julianne McDaniel Perry

Julianne McDaniel Perry, age 91, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, in Ohio.

Julianne Perry was born in Fitzgerald, Ga., to the late Henry Grady McDaniel and Eula Evans McDaniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Fletcher Perry, Jr.; daughter, Elizabeth Perry Lunsford; son, Donald Edwin Perry; and sister, Lee Merritt.

Julianne graduated from Wesleyan College of Macon, in 1948. She taught second grade at Monticello Elementary school for 11 years and Piedmont Academy for11 years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She loved to play golf, and was a great seamstress and cook.

Julianne was a member of the Monticello First United Methodist Church. After moving from Jasper County to Dalton, Ga., in 2007, she attended Dalton First United Methodist Church. She lived in Dalton for nine years until moving to Ohio two years ago to be near her daughter Jan.

She is survived by her children, Jan (Bob) Bolubasz of Cincinnati, Ohio, Steve (Sheila) Perry of Eatonton, and Julie (Allen) Patterson of Beaufort, S.C., son-in-law, James D. Lunsford, Jr. of Dalton, Ga.; grandchildren, Lisa (Randy) Williams, Daniel Lunsford, Rob Bolubasz, Drew (Danielle Kearns) Bolubasz, Brad (Taylor) Perry, Brandon (Alyssa) Perry, Emily Wilkes, Rachel Wilkes, Caroline Patterson, and Joseph Patterson; great- grandchildren, Ran Williams, Miles Williams, Daley Williams, Wyatt Perry, Emery Perry, and Ella Perry; and sisters, Gee Mobley of Rogers, Ark., and Jackie Lovett of Camden, S.C.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at the Monticello First United Methodist Church. Interment will be held in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery in Shady Dale. Rev. Nathaniel Long will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, Sept. 14, 2018, at Jordan Funeral Home.
