Anna Carolyn Lewis Goolsby
Anna Carolyn Lewis Goolsby, age 90, of Commerce, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018, at her residence.
Carolyn Goolsby was born in Mansfield, to the late George Lewis and Anna Cornelia Kelly Lewis. At the age of 16, she moved to Atlanta, where she lived until 2003.
Carolyn Goolsby enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. She was considered the oldest member of Prospect United Methodist Church having joined at the age of 12.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Berryman Goolsby; sister, Emma George Lewis; and son-in-law, Lewis Reed.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn (Bob) Cummings of Commerce and Janice Reed of Senoia; grandchildren, Christy Ray, Carrie Hembree, Katie Cummings, Allen Reed and Alex Reed; great-grandchildren, Drew Ray, Will Ray, Owen Neely, Alpha Hembree, Aleister Hembree, Charlotte Reed, Lucy Reed and Lee Reed; and brothers, Robert (Rose) Lewis of Mansfield and Benny (Janis) Lewis of Monticello.
A graveside service will be held at noon, Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Prospect United Methodist Church in Mansfield. Rev. Mike Willard will officiate.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Prospect United Methodist Church 84 Barnes Mountain Road, Mansfield, Ga. 30055.
