Several Are Arrested this Week
Jasper County deputies investigated a couple of incidents of note in the last week.
In one, a resident on Sandpiper Court complained of a burglary at his residence. Items taken included numerous tools as well as a set of antique German beer steins.
In another incident, men arrived on the scene at a Waxwing address to pick up a motor vehicle, the resident had been working on. They refused to pay, flashed a gun, and took off in the car without paying for the repairs.
There was also the report of a possible stolen vehicle, and an identity theft.
Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Tara Lynn Young, 33, Covington—possession of Schedule III, IV or V controlled substance with intent, possession of methamphetamine and sale of methamphetamine.
•Kenneth Patrick Simpson, 32, Covington—possession of methamphetamine.
•James Alexander Vantreoostenberghe, 35, Monroe—hold for warrant in Barrow Co.
•Noah Austin Hyde, 24, Covington—hold for warrant in Newton Co.
•Justin Cooper Singletary, 32, Monticello—probation violation (2 counts.)
•Lavunn Jay Robertson, 24, Lawrenceville—possession of methamphetamine, purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution/or sale of marijuana.
•Justin Lito Solomon, 23, Lawrenceville—possession of methamphetamine, purchase/ possession/manufacture/distribution/or sale of marijuana.
•Kevin Cody Glover, 26, Lawrenceville—possession of methamphetamine, purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution/or sale of marijuana and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Tina Faye Black, 45, Monticello—disruption of public school.
•Gage Dean Thomas, 20, Jackson—theft by taking (two counts), possession of firearm/knife during commission of a felony and entering auto (two counts).
•Kendarus Ray Shun Benjamin, 26, Monticello—probation violation.
•Steven Tyler Rosser, McDonough—hold for warrant in Butts Co.
•Sydney Lynn Brock, 27, Monticello—battery.
