Riley Lee ‘Bell’ Kelly, Sr.

A celebration of life for Riley Lee “Bell” Kelly, Sr., who died March 29, 2018,was held April 4 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Shady Dale. Rev. Dr. Jimmy Horton officiated; Rev. Kerwin Scott is pastor.

Mr. Kelly was born on March 27, 1931 to the late Gracie Mae Kelly Seats. Mr. Kelly spent his life rising his family and taking care of the farm. He loved working in the garden and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends. You could find him feeding the cows or bailing hay. Those were a few of his hobbies.

Mr. Kelly leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 67 years, Lillie L. Kelly of Farrar; children Riley L. Kelly Jr. (Jewel) of Shady Dale, Eddie J. Kelly (Joanne) of Monticello, Diane Kelly of Covington, Anthony J. Kelly (Belinda) of Oxford, Brenda G. White (Eric) of Riverdale, Arlene Kelly (Clifford)( of Midland, Finche L. Kelly (Sandra) of Ellenwood, and Derrick Kelly (Mardea) of Covington, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins and friends. His sons and grandsons were pallbearers, and his granddaughters were flower bearers.

Smith and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
