Clean-Up Efforts Across County Continue

As April continues, so does the effort to clean-up Jasper County.

The County Commission has offered residents free dumping at the landfill for April to get the county looking bright and clean.

Gloves, bags and vests are available at the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce, Board of Commissioners office in the Courthouse or at the Jasper County Landfill. They are provided by Advanced Disposal Company.

The city will take an extra step with its eighth annual. citywide yard sale on Saturday, April 21. To be listed on the map (must have minimum of 10), call 706-468-6062 by tomorrow, April 13. To be included on the route, the deadline is April 19, but for the map to be included in the newspaper, at least 10 households must sign up by tomorrow.

On Monday, April 30, Advanced Disposal will pick up debris placed by the curb.
