Misty Ledford Qualifies for School Board Seat

Misty E. Ledford of Mansfield qualified Monday for the District 5 school board seat.

The school board has staggered terms, with members in District 1, 3, and 5, up for election this year. Likewise, the county commissioners in Districts 2 and 4 are up for election.

Mrs. Ledford is a homemaker married to Steven Ledford, and they have three children, McKenzie in the 11th grade; Collin, fourth grade, and Kristen, first grade.

Mrs. Ledford is a 2001 graduate of Jasper County High School, and she served on the Jaser County Primary School governance team for two years.

Mrs. Ledford said, “I consider all children as one of my own. I will listen to the community, I want to represent my constituents.”

The school board election is non-partisan, and will be held May 22, along with the primaries. The deadline to register to vote is Monday, April 23.
