Diane Patricia Jones

Diane Patricia Jones, age 67, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at her residence.

Ms. Jones was born in Atlanta to the late Thomas Bartow Jones and Florence Patricia McHan Jones. She lived in Riverdale, Ga. before moving to Jasper County in 1972. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Jones.

Ms. Jones attended Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Jackson. She loved animals; enjoyed playing video games, golf and tennis; rode motorcycles; and water-skied. She worked in maintenance at Turtle Cove Clubhouse for several years and as a key-punch operator in Atlanta for a number of years.

She is survived by her brother, Thomas M. (Debbie) Jones of Jackson; sister, Gail (Joseph) Deptula of Monticello; nieces and nephew, Pamela H. Tobin, Chris M. Jones and Catherine Deptula; and great nephews, J. T. Tobin and Avery Tobin.

A graveside service will be held at noon, Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at West View Cemetery in Atlanta. Rev. Michael Saffels will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at Jordan Funeral Home.
