Freddie Lee Miller

A celebration of life for Freddie Lee Miller, who died January 20, 2018, will be held Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 at 2 p.m., at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church, 837 Hillsboro Street in Monticello.

Mr. Miller was born to the parentage of the late Henry Miller and Sarah Miller on September 11, 1949 in Monticello.

At an early age he accepted Christ as his Savior and united with Maddox Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hillsboro; later he moved his membership to New Life Baptist Church in Eatonton.

Fred, as he was affectionately known by many, was a loving father, friendly and out spoken person. He had a big heart with lots of love.

He attended the Jasper County Training School in Monticello. Early in life Fred was employed with Pope’s Logging Company in Monticello. Later, in life he joined Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee until a tragic accident left him paralyzed.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Willie Henry Miller.

He leaves to cherish fond memories of his life, one son, Freddie Miller, Jr. (June) of Eatonton, two daughters Katina Miller of Eatonton, and Briana Miller of Tennessee, sister, Sarah Thomas (James) who was a devoted, dedicated, dependable brother-in-law and caretaker, Clarence Miller, Lonnie Charles Miller (Geneva) all of Monticello; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
