Piedmont MS Teams Fall at Home
Piedmont Academy’s Middle School basketball teams returned to action Tuesday at home against John Milledge Academy.
The Middle School Lady Cougars fell 18-9 while the boys lost a close, down-to-the-wire contest 40-39.
Fleming Sealy led the Piedmont girls with four points while Maddie Waddleton scored three and Marrisa Holder added two points.
Ryan Holder led the Piedmont boys with 16 points while Dawson Coe also finished in double figures with 13 points. The game was close throughout with the score tied 6-6 after the first quarter. The Cougars led 14-13 at halftime and trailed 28-24 after the third.
Ryan Reeves added four points for Piedmont with David Bishop scoring three and Jayce Wood finishing with two. Cole Wade made a free throw.
Piedmont’s Middle School teams will host Thomas Jefferson Academy Friday, Jan. 5 at 3:45 p.m. and Bethlehem Christian Academy Saturday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m.
