2017 Mat Cougars Begin Season

The Piedmont Academy Mat Cougars kicked off their season on Saturday with an individual tournament hosted at The Westfield School.

The 2017–2018 team is coached by Kaden Miller and the team members are seniors Tanner Coppock, and Noah Faubli, sophomores Logan Conner, Trent Coots, Garrett Kirksey, and Logan Connor. The tournament results include:

•Noah Faubli first place in the 126 pound weight class and won all five matches by pins.

•Trent Coots second place in the 132 pound weight class and won three matches by pins.

•Logan Conner third place in the 195 pound weight class and won two matches by pins.

•Tanner Coppock third place in the 182 pound weight class and won three matches by pins.

•Garrett Kirksey third place in the 285 pound weight class and won two matches by pins and 1 bye.
