Edward Marvin Andrews
Edward Marvin Andrews was born on March 14, 1937 to the late Mrs. Saddie Williams Andrews in Fairmont, S.C. He died November 7, 2017.
Mr. Andrews was employed with Clark Logging Company in commercial timber for many years until his retirement.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Thelma Thurman Andrews on January 28, 1960. She departed this life on January 5, 1987.
To this union five children were born, Kenneth Andrews, Edward Marvin Andrews, Jr., Reginald Andrews (Connie), Claudie Melissa Andrews Raines (Amos), Saddie Deloros Andrews, who preceded him in death on February 5, 2001, and a daughter, Sharon Andrews of Elba, N.Y.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Carrie Hodges Harpe Andrews, his children, along with five step-children, 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 78 step-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 11, at Maddox Chapel Baptist Church in Monticello, with pastor Preston Campbell officiating. Burial was in New Community Cemetery in Adgateville.
Serving as pallbearers were Corell Hamm, Shawn Epps, Clayton Braswell, Merari Tripp, Author Epps, and Ollice Tripp. His nieces served as flower girls.
Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
