Several Are Sentenced in Court
Eric Gene Hardwick was sentenced to five years in the state penal system after his probation was revoked in Jasper Superior Court last week following the review of several probationer violations by Judge Alison Burleson.
While on probation, Mr. Hardwick committed a new offense of habitual violator in Morgan County in July 2016. One month later he was arrested for driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, habitual violator of a probationary driver’s license, and failure to appear in Morgan County court.

Blair Adam Wilkes, sentenced to five years of probation for theft by taking. Fined $1.000.
David Dewayne Robinson, sentenced to three years of probation on charges including possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance. Fined $1,000.
Dinah Reed Applegate, sentenced to one year of probation for possession of marijuana. Fined $500.
Devante Xavier Campbell, sentenced to one year of probation for reckless driving. Fined $400.
Jury trial week is set to begin on Monday, Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. in the Main Courtroom of the Courthouse. A plea day was held October 31 and if a party or attorney has a case remaining on the calendar they are required to attend the trial week. If one cannot attend the trial week, the judge must be notified prior to the start of the trial week to be excused. Any failure to appear without being excused will be subject to a bench warrant, according to a notice from Jasper Superior Court.
