Winner Has Perfect Score

LESLIE JOHNSON (L), COLE USRY

Cole Usry, a senior at Jasper County High School, has been playing the football contest since his sophomore year, pretty much every week, and this week he did a really good job. He correctly picked the winners of all 15 games listed in last week’s Monticello News football contest.

For his effort, he received a $25 prize from Leslie Johnson, manager of sporting goods and hardware at Larry’s 4-Way Stop, sponsor of the week. He also has his name added to the Grand Prize Honor Roll for a chance to win four premium tickets to the Chick-Fil-A/Peach Bowl in Atlanta on New Year’s Day, 2018.

But he wasn’t the only one who had his name added to the honor roll. More than 75 people correctly guessed the winners in 12 or more games listed to have their names added to the honor roll.

And those who didn’t make it to the honor roll, and still want the chance, get another opportunity this week. Whoever guesses the winner of the most games listed in this week’s football contest, found on page 11, will win a $25 prize from Dairy Queen, sponsor of the week. And, everyone who correctly guesses the winner of 12 or more will have their names added to the Grand Prize Honor Roll. Just fill out the form, or write your answers on a plain piece of paper and get it to The News office no later than 5 p.m. tomorrow, Oct. 27.

Remember, only one entry per person, and write legibly! Be sure to include a phone number where you can be reached during the day on Monday. If we can’t find you; you can’t win.
