Several Are Sentenced in Court
Judge Trenton E. Brown, III of the Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit presided over the motion day and arraignment calendars in Jasper Superior Court last week.
Defendant Brandon Herndon was sentenced to five years in confinement for two counts of possession of a schedule II controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and interference with government property. He also had an appearance before the judge for probation violations that occurred in Walton County and North Carolina, and failure to pay restitution and court fees in a timely manner.
With his probation revoked to the penal system, Mr. Herndon’s confinement will run concurrently. Due to his currently tolled time, he will be eligible for release in April 2019.
David Blake Ramey was sentenced to three years ofprobation on two separate criminal cases. On the first case, he was charged with possession of methamphetamine and fined $1,000. The second case involved a simple battery, family violence charge for which he was sentenced to one year of probation and fine $300.

Johnathan Martyne was sentenced to one year of probation for disorderly conduct and fined $500.
