Persons Are Arrested
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated several incidents in the last week, including unauthorized use of a financial transaction card in Shady Dale.
A student was charged with theft by receiving stolen property at Jasper County High School after he was found with a Samsung Galaxy phone that was not his. A theft by taking was reported on Blue Heron Drive, where a fish tank and the stand were reportedly stolen. In Hillsboro, five quilts were taken from an address. Lastly, last Tuesday,. a pick-up truck was entered at a residence in the city, and a purse and its contents, including an I-phone, were taken. The phone was subsequently recovered.
Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Michael Clinton Cason, 57, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked, no insurance, unregistered vehicle and hit and run/leaving the scene of an accident.
•Melissa Mae Miller, 34, Porterdale—sale of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
•Jennifer Kenea Thomason, 34, Covington—use of communication facility in commission of felony involving a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
•Christina Lynn Parker, 33, Covington—use of communication facility in commission of a felony involving a controlled substance.
•Billy Joe Wages, 41, Milledgeville—probation violation and Jasper County Superior Court failure to appear.
•Ronald Ray Randolph, 38, Jackson—probation violation.
•Gary Michael Cox, 21, Fort Valley—disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
•David D. Gates, 50, Atlanta—possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
•Samantha Ann Barber, 28, Covington—possession of methamphetamine.
•Timothy Arthur Holbert, Jr., 32, Jackson—possession of methamphetamine (two counts) and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
•David Blake Ramey, 26, Monticello—probation violation and Jasper County Superior Court failure to appear.
•Barry Keith Webb, 40, Alpharetta—probation violation.
