Contest Winner Gets All Right

This week’s football contest winner is a novice, but he knew he would win. And, win, he did, he got a perfect score.

Paul White correctly guessed the winners of 14 of the 15 games listed in last week’s Monticello News. The 15th game was not played because of weather.

For his efforts, Mr. White picked up a $25 prize from Tiffany Key at the office of Tricia P. Armistead, CPA.

And, he plans to donate his winnings to the MWM 2.0 Mexico work mission headed up by Ken Sanvidge, and some others at Monticello Presbyterian Church.

Mr. White retired this year from teaching in neighboring Butts County, while his wife, Leslie, retired from Piedmont Academy. He played for the first time opening week this year, and won his second try.

He was the only player to get 14 right, while four others got 13 right, and 12 players got 12 right, adding 17 players to the honor roll, with two players having two chances already for the grand prize drawing.

Each time a player correctly picks the winner of at least 12 of the games listed he or she has his or her name entered into the honor roll for the grand prize which is four tickets to the Chick-fil-A/Peach Bowl in Atlanta.

This week another player has a chance to win the $25 prize from Monticello Auto Parts and have his or her name added to the honor roll for the grand prize. Contest and complete rules are on page 10. So, get ready, fill out your form or a blank piece of paper, and get your entry in to The News office by 5 p.m. tomorrow, Sept. 15.
