MS Lady Cougars Win

Piedmont Academy’s Middle School softball team looked impressive in a 15-4 victory against visiting John Milledge Academy last week.

Emily McEwen earned the win pitching all four innings and recording three strikeouts.

Offensively, MaLynne Webb had two hits and drove in two runs. Maddie Waddelton and Hannah Tyler also had two RBI. Harris Brady drew three walks.

The score was tied 2-2 after the first inning and the Lady Trojans took a 4-2 lead after the top of the second inning. It was at this point that the Middle School Lady Cougars took control of the contest with 11 runs in the bottom half of the second inning. Piedmont added two more runs in the bottom of the third inning.
