No Races Are Contested

Qualifying for the November election has ended, and Lynda Gasses is the only person who qualified to run for Clerk of Court in the countywide race. That is the only countywide race on the ballot.

For Monticello, Bryan Standifer qualified to seek re-election as mayor, and Councilmen Larry Thurman and David Wease also qualified.

Therefore there will be no contested races on the November ballot.

However, voters will be asked to vote on a Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax question put forth by the county.
