Persons Are Arrested; Thefts Are Reported

Jasper County deputies investigated several thefts that were reported this week, but most date back some time. In July, a resident reported the theft of livestock from a pasture off Hwy. 11 north. In addition, a resident of Hillsboro Street reported yard tools missing between July 10 and July 15.

More recently, there was a report of the theft of lost or mislaid property after a prescription went missing. Lastly, a handgun and a large amount of cash was taken from a residence on Bobwhite Court last week. Another report of theft dates back to a May eviction. No details were provided.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Jesse Lee Batchelor, 44, Eatonton—possession of methamphetamine, failure to stop at stop sign, drug related objects and driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Vashon Leon Traylor, 28, Monticello—obstruction of law enforcement officer, cruelty to children, 3rd degree, simple battery and probation violation.

•Ieashia Nicole Hutchins, 30, Villa Rica—false statements and writings.

•Michael Forrest Cook, 27, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine, use of communication facility in commission of a felony, sale/distribution/or possession of dangerous drugs, drugs not in original container and drug related objects.

•Brittany S. Mills, 32, Eatonton—deposit account fraud.

•William Joseph Martin, Jr., 33, Covington—parole violation.

•Kerry Wayne Brand, 57, Monticello—operation vessel under the influence of alcohol or drugs and operating vessel with improper lights.

•Deborah Charlene Darby, 34, Hillsboro—possession of methamphetamine and crossing guard lines with weapons/intoxicants/or drugs.

•Brandon Mark Benton, 19, Shady Dale—operating unsafe vehicle and driving while unlicensed.

•Keaton Chase Beatty, 17, Mansfield—criminal trespass, battery and affray.

•Ronald Kip Prather, Jr., 17, Monticello—criminal damage to property, second degree, simple battery and affray.

•Ashleigh Nicole Patton, 27, Monticello—operation of an unregistered vehicle, duty to report an accident and no insurance.

•Michael Justin Ogle, 29, McDonough—giving false name, address or birthdate to law enforcement officer.

•Charlotte Bowen Rivas, 66, Monticello—theft by receiving stolen property.

•Tidous Mitchell Thomas, 26, Monticello—theft by receiving stolen property.
